Imagine dragging a 25-ton stone across 150 miles of wild terrain... with no wheels, no machines, just ropes, logs, and raw human grit.
That’s exactly what ancient people did over 5,000 years ago to build this — Stonehenge.
First, around 3100 BC, they dug a massive ditch and stuck wooden posts in the ground. Not bad for starters.
Then, 600 years later, they leveled up: hauling giant stones (some from Wales!) and arranging them in this epic circle.
By 1600 BC, it looked pretty much like what you see today — mysterious, majestic, and totally mind-blowing.
But why? Was it a giant calendar? A spiritual portal? An ancient concert venue? (Okay, maybe not the last one... or maybe )
Whatever the truth is, one thing’s for sure: these stones have stories to tell — and secrets they still won’t give up.
